Morzine

The town itself is truly beautiful and very relaxed, with a traditional Alpine look, lots of bars and restaurants and ample shops to choose from.

Morzine in the winter:

For ski-ers and snowborders there is more than enough to keep you occupied for a full weeks ski-ing year after year - with a total of 278 marked ski runs/pitstes in Portes-du-Soleil - of which 34 are green, 112 blue, 104 red and 28 black.

The chalet is just 100m from the nearest ski-bus stop, 800m to the Morzine footbridge - where you have access to the Super Morzine Ski area via the telecabine at the bottom of the footbridge. You can also gain access up into Avoriaz from here. Those of you with your own transport might wish to drive out to Prodain - just 5 minutes away - which takes you straight into the high level ski-ing in Avoriaz.

And after a good day on the piste - who can resist a quick spin on the open-air ice rink in the town centre?

Morzine in the summer:

Summer in Morzine is just as exciting - with lots of activities to chose from: swimming in the large outdoor pool in central Morzine - just 10 minute walk from the Chalet, or swimming in the nearby lakes - picturesque Montriond lake with its fabulous beaches is just 5 minutes drive from the chalet - mountain-biking, paragliding, canoeing, white water rafting, horse riding and many more. Young children are well catered for too - with a children's farm, water park and Indiana Park.

The telecabine runs throughout July and August - whisking mountain bikers and walkers up into the mountains.
